    I am tired of nonsense.

    2.Some Objections

“I conclude then, that though the difference between people’s idea of Decent Behaviour often make you suspect that there is no real natural Law of Behaviour at all, yet the things we are bound to think about these differences really prove just the opposite. Bu tone word before i end. I have met people who exaggerate the difference, because they have not distinguished between differences of morality and differences belief about facts. .... ... it may be a great advance in knowledge not to believe in witches: there is no moral advance in not executing them when you do not think they are there. You would not call a man humane for ceasing to set mousetraps if he did so because he believed there were no mice in the house.”

I learned that disciplining something is a very tiring task.
Above all, it is terribly unpopular if it doesn't understand why it/he/she has to be disciplined.
Which is why you see more and more ill disciplined thing/people in the world.

I will be putting some quotes that i took from most of C.S Lewis - Mere Christianity.

    1.The Law of Human Nature
“These, then, are the 2 points I wanted to make. First, then human beings, all over the earth, have this curious idea that they ought to behave in a certain way, and cannot really get rid of it. Secondly, that they do not in fact behave in that way. They know the Law of Nature; they break it. These two facts are the foundation of all clear thinking about ourselves and the universe we live in.”

    Snowy snowy snowy!

    On a chair.

    And snowy has a hobby!
    SUNBATHING!

The past week has been tough and frustrating for me.
I can only guess that one of the reasons sickness is there is to tell me that i need a break.
    Horrible experience.

Sometimes, like the movie Click(Starring Jim Carey), i would like to fastforward the boring and the sick parts of our life. But sometimes, its like what Russel from the movie Up said: "Sometimes, It's the boring stuff i remember the most".

Books may not necessarily hold all the answers to life questions.
Life is no longer as straightforward as i thought it is to be.
I realized that i really do not know anything yet.

I realized what makes me smile as of late are either difficulties thrown in my face or just rotten luck. Like when it just start to pour when I am in the bus and that i left my jacket in the office just for yesterday... out of all days.

    Lovely start of a day!

Snowy is not without the cone of shame.
However, it seems he has been abit more aggressive lately.
Which is pretty weird.. He should be less aggressive from the sterilization.
It might probably be the smell of food on myself that caused him to go beserk.

The past week was pretty much just work and meeting up with some friends.
Snowy accompanied me in looking at the scenary outside our balcony for a good minute.
He probably stayed there because that was where he hide his toys and snacks.

I am going to read the book Desiring God by John Piper. About Meditations of a Christian Hedonist.
Looks like a good read.(Am sure Schezn would say it is) :)

I've had some thoughts about happiness, joy, sharing. service and friendships

However, i haven't had major thoughts to pen here yet.

A new week of work is here. Hope it will continue to treat me well.

    Oh and by the way..
Happy 7th year old to you, my blog. :)

    Snowy is back from sterilization.
    :(
it is of heavy heart to see him in this manner.
He was happy to see me when i got him from the vet.
I guess the anasthesia got the better of him later when he got back home.
He could barely jump or wag his tail. :(
Heartbreaking to see that. I wish him to get well and energetic as soon as possible.

    Work has been quite average.
It is really irritating to see somebody who thinks he is big to take a shot at a colleague.
To those who are reading this, let me tell you 3 things

    1. It is ridiculous to expect of tech support people as super geniuses that would be able to solve a problem immediately and without much effort.
Remember, you called them for help and advice.
Which means you can't solve it.
Though they are paid to solve it.
They are also human and they also need time to solve it.
Or else you wouldn't need to call us.
Remember, we are FIXING either YOUR mess or someone else's.
Be grateful. They don't owe you anything to get scolded for YOUR mess. (Usually its because you did something to it)

    2. Tech support people are the people who keeps you going
If you don't have tech support.
Who else would you call to help you clear your mess?
Though it is one which doesn't bring in money (Unlike Sales)
but it is one which is required for you to continue to work.
They are the one which untangles you from the moaning of technological failure
The white ribbon that block fatal ailments.
You lose soo much more money if you lose out on productivity.

    3. Tech support goes through alot of training and experience to do what they do.
Do you think we haven't gone through the frustration of a problem in a laptop?
They did and apparently they're the one that was more determined to come out with the solution.
They are the one who dared to try to solution when nobody did.
They are the one who are patient enough to understand the one who created computer and technology to see it from their point of view.
They are the one who decided to share their solutions with you so you can avoid the frustrations.

Don't you take your tech support department for granted.
Guess who are the ones who comes earlier and leave later to make sure everything is going well for you
Guess who are the ones who prepare your computers and solutions before you arrive or face a problem
Guess who are the ones who has most of the solutions when you are desperate
Guess who are the ones who actually knows how to make the computer do your work for you

    Most of all...
Guess who are the ones who holds your upgrades and your password?

No good company functions well without a good and dedicated tech support team.

This is a bit random from what i've been talking about.
I saw this video and i really liked the song.
    Lovely.

Living with Snowy for more than a month proved to me that owning a dog is not a simple task at all.

    Name : Snowy
    Age : about 5
    Breed : Maltese
    Sterilized : Soon.. muahahaha
Favourite skill : *Jump jump jump*
    Loves to challenge big dogs
Runs at anything else that people and dogs...(eg. Monkeys, frogs)

I remembered the day of his arrival.
I bemoaned at the thought of surviving to live with this 'adorable' thing that firstly, wasn't eating and secondly was apparently on red bull that never wears off. We had to make sure he survives his apparent 'depression' by water and served this dog by bringing it out for a walk 3 times a day and looking for tell tale signs that its going to poop so we can actually 'catch' it with the newspaper which saves us from grabbing the poop from the ground.

Just last night, at 2 am, he was shaking the cage and barking for attention.
That was the period where its not cute at all.
    Haha.
But of course other than that, i will rate Snowy as Adorable.
Though he did make me think about the whole situation of how it may be if you have kids or maybe even things like learning how to live with a 'spouse'.

I am trying to learn more about Snowy to understand him.
The language barrier proves to be a major barrier to understand it.
It is however quite bright to learn how to play fetch in a week..
Just not so perfect when it zooms pass me with the toy in its mouth with great vigor.

Apparently, it is found that Snowy's IQ isn't as high as i do hope it would be.
There is however 1 thing that it mastered..
It learnt how to sit when i say "sit!" with high success rate.
However, It has no idea how to shake people's hand..even after afew lessons.

One thing i have to say is that it is a 'doorbell' dog.
He barks at the opening of the door.
He makes sure that your entry doesn't go unannounced.
Of course the most endearing part of coming home is to be greeted by Snowy jumping with endless enthusiam at the sight of anyone. =)

    Now.
Snowy is sleeping in the living room.
    Good night Snowy.

This will be my first report of subject Snowy.

    Job Report.
I was scheduled for an Interview with IBM this morning and i was LATE by 1/2 an hour. (I passed my IPAT test!) [PLEASE TAKE NOTE! it is TABOO to be late for an interview.]
It was crazy traffic and travelling to expo from the other side of Singapore with no MRT nearby is horrible.
The interviewer was very very kind to me i guess, she gave me the benefit of the doubt about the traffic and being late. I reckon i do still have a chance on clinching the job if i do show extreme interest and potential in contribution to her team.
I am sure that i am confident in taking the job but there were afew things in my consideration which made me turn down the job.

    1. I said yes to Visa team leader and Bryan said that i should keep my word.
    2. Such travelling to IBM was not something i am prepared to do for at least 2 years. (2 hours ride back and forth)
    3. The pressure on the job and the availability on top of the 2 factors above is not adding well to the Quality of Life i want.

    Identity Report.
Yesterday's dinner made me think about my identity and season of life.
I was at NUS ordering food from the canteen and the stall owner asked "Are you a student?" because the dish would be $2 instead of $2.20 for public.
I said "Yes" and showed my student pass.
This identity difficulty is the outcome of finishing my studies 1 semester earlier and having to wait for my Graduation Ceremony.
Which leads me to think, am i still a student or not?
I felt like i've lied and used a loophole. This $0.20 is probably going to be one of the cheapest yet hardest lesson for me to wake up and learn that the start of corruption is incidences like this.
No matter how small or how big it is since i know if i want to live a life of uprighteousness, integrity and honesty it has to start with the smallest thing.
I know i can pull out the loophole and say whatever to fight my position of attaining student priviledges, yet one must know that there are some things that cannot be traded for priviledges.

I want to Thank God for his mercies and grace.
I want to Thank God for giving me this job.
I want to Thank God for the friends i have.
I want to Thank God for Snowy.

I am counting down to the start of my season of working.
In retrospect, i don't think i have done all i've wanted to do for this break.
    However, life goes on!

I've got 3 days to do what i can do.
My future employer just took away my evenings.
Not such a good start inform me just a day before.
I thought i've planned something during then.
    Good thing i haven't.

I was out with John to explore Resort World

We had a good time alright.
Talking about budgeting, relationships, future uncertainty, careers and just spending time together waiting.
$8.10 of free flow chips at Chilis.
$2 bus ride into Resort World is well worthed.
Though Universal Studio is not open yet.

Chinese New Year holidays has ended and everyone is at work or studies(except me! The perks of being unemployed!)
The sounds of laughter, traditional blessings(Gong xi fa cai and the likes), the catching ups(gossips) and the exchanging of oranges. It came excessive at the start of the festival and died off almost immediately when the clock ran down.

I've been watching Big Bang Theory for the past 3 days! The most interesting bit of this sitcom is the dynamics of how these 4 extreme geeks(Halo night, Clingon boggle, Resides at home or the Comic Store) live together. Of course, i must not forget to mention that this sitcom has an extremely nerdy and geeky theme and one do need to know quite a bit of science, science fiction(remember they are nerds, so you can't seperate marvel comics and them) and logic to fully enjoy everything about it.

The character that interest me the most is Sheldon.
Not that i like him or aspire to become like him but it is quite interesting to see a man of intellect(potrayed as man who started college when he is 11, has an IQ of 187, 2 PhDs and a master Degree) trying to learn and grasp the concept of human interactions and social norms. He lacks the understanding of irony, sarcasm, humour and most of all, humility. His jokes and comments are peppered with the lack of sensitivity and topped with a heavy dose of insults.I do wonder whether there are people similar to Sheldon that exist in this world(I consider this highly likely). Yet, it is definitely heart warming to observe a glimmer of gratitude once in a while from him...only for him to spoil everything in the next remark he gives. However at the same time, we can also see a bit of ourselves in his snide comments and his insensitive remarks to others. The big hope for him in the entire show is that he would become more.. human! Which is always the hope of mankind isn't it? To see people as human as how God wanted us to be.

Anyway, I think i had quite a good break from being pretty busy from my different life roles lately. It does feel like i've got to pick myself up and restart on living life once again. I know my social contact and relationship has taken a toll in this little ordeal of mine.

    Must.Come.Out.Of.Shit.

Take care and Good bye Ellince, Samuel and George.
    Come back soon!
